Breakfast and Tour

One of the most sought-after experiences here at the Degas House is our creole breakfast cooked specially by a local private chef.

Upon arrival, tour guests settle in among house guests in a family-style setting. Guests can choose to dine in the main dining room, the breakfast room, or even in the courtyard. Our made-to-order menu consists of French Waffles, Creole Omelets, Shrimp & Grits, and Bananas Fosters accompanied by fresh fruit, bacon, and sausage. In addition, the choice of a Bloody Mary or Mimosa completes each meal.

Breakfast And Tour Details

Following the meal, visitors take part in our world-renowned guided tour experience, the "Edgar Degas House Creole Impressionist Tour", featuring one of the great-grandnieces of Degas as the lead tour guide. The tour includes exploring the historic home, museum, courtyard, and Degas' studio, and viewing the award-winning documentary, "Degas in New Orleans, a Creole Sojourn".
